Service Restored

The problem that prevented some users from creating sites has been resolved and the service is fully restored.

Our user base has grown substantially over the past few months and we have been working hard to make sure that our infrastructure can accommodate the increased traffic. Last night we unexpectedly reached capacity on one of our servers which is why new users were temporarily unable to create new sites. It is important to note that this issue did not affect existing sites in any way.

Now that we have resolved this limitation we will continue to improve our service with the aim of providing the highest possible uptime and availability. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

  1. Hi Brent
Thanks! No problem. We have to make room for ‘issues / problems’ like these. The fact that you reached capacity already says enough about Synthasite & how fast the word is spreading about this awsome website.

I am one of the new users that was waiting anxiously to start building my own own website! Just wanted to say that I am a new, proud Synthasite user. I have been playing around & building my site & what a pleasure! I would say that my personal favourite is the drag & drop functionality. My first thought I had when i first created my account was ‘where / how am I going to do this without any web dev knowledge’ but once you get the hang of it, you don’t want to stop! It’s so easy & simple to use! To the guys at Synthasite, WELL DONE on an EXCELLENT job & I’m sure there is lots more in store for us.

I am so excited, can’t wait to get going & see the end result of my own website. Although I have a few support questions, which I will pose shortly, overall I can honestly say, that the tools provided by Synthasite for building your website, is so user friendly, anyone can do it!

Oh & thanks to the new features updates, my favourite is definitely the New Styles & Banner Images!

    Best Regards

    Zaidah

  5. Hi Monique

how are you doing? I’ve been trying to create a couple of websites for some of my buddies. for some one with very little web nkowledge, I thought the best place to start would be your 3min tutorial. unfortunately, the only video clip I am able to access is on youtube, and it is taking an awfully long time to load.

Please let me know if there is anyother way to either speeding up the loading process, or is there any other place i can watch the vidoe. i am itching to start.

  6. Hi Trevor

I am sorry you are struggling with the video. Hopefully we will have better video tutorials soon. This is one of the projects we are working on.

For now I recommend you use the text based tutorials, which are available in the Support tab on our website, or from the Help menu under “Support.” You can either read these online, or download them as PDF’s and print them out if you prefer.

I hope these will suffice to get you started with the basics.

If you have any questions, please email support@synthasite.com

    Best wishes
    Monique

  9. Hi MangKepweng

It is always a pleasure to hear from a happy user. We are delighted that you are going to tell your friends about us. We want everyone to be able to build and publish their own website with SynthaSite, so the more people you tell the better! Have you seen that when you log in to your account their is a link next to your name that says “invite friends”? We hope you will use it to invite some of yours :-)

I am sure the SynthaSite team will be very pleased to read your positive feedback.

    Happy site building,
    Monique

  10. Hi Layla

If you publish to a free SynthaSite subdomain, the ending will be “.synthasite.com”

If you wish to purchase your own domain name you can do so. The ending will then be whatever you choose. You can still host your site with us for free.

When you publish your site you will be given 3 options:
    1) Use a free subdomain name
    2) Use your own domain name
    3) Download your site and host it yourself.

Instructions for each option are available in the SynthaSite publishing dialog box.

If you need any help with this, please email support@synthasite.com

    Good luck!
    Monique
